"MetRay" – the Smart Energy Facade
MetApp AG develops a new category of energy facade combining metal, glass and advanced technology.
Solar thermal energy is being used to drive an absorption heat pump for solar cooling, a patented heat flow modulator built into the facade system protects the system from overheating.
Optional integrated media functionality based on LED technology as well as photo-voltaic devices are possible.
The materials chosen will resist harsh climatic conditions, including sand storms and salt water spray.
The modular system allows ready for versatile use, be it for large climate controlled stadiums, shopping malls, train and bus stations, airports and manufacturing plants.
